Despite maturing in a combination of cask types, this 19 Year Old Craigellachie demonstrates a much more pronounced bourbon influence than the rest of the range. Initial maturation in a variety of cask types balances the profile of this whisky, but the intrigue lies in comparison to the 17 year old, with this expression being both older, but also lighter and sweeter thanks to the cask types at play.

The trademark pineapple note of Craigellachie remains but creamy vanilla, coconut, and sweet oak influence from the bourbon casks are the headline flavours. The biscuity sweetness is more pronounced, giving this dram a dessert-like richness that lingers long on the palate, and the whisp of its fired character and robust style remind you that this is a product of a more old-fashioned style of whisky production.

Still made using traditional worm tub condensers, Craigellachie maintains its dense, oily texture and muscular weight in every drop. As with the rest of the range, this is bottled at 46% ABV, natural colour and non chill-filtered.
