More About Craigellachie 19 Year Old Whisky

Product Details

This 19 Year Old bottling is crafted from whisky initially matured in a combination of cask types. To elevate its complexity, the vatting is then split, with half finished in first-fill Sherry casks and the other half in first-fill Bourbon casks. This dual maturation imparts layers of flavour: rich, dried fruits and subtle spice from the Sherry wood, and creamy vanilla, coconut, and oak influence from the Bourbon casks. The result is a whisky that’s both powerful and beautifully balanced.

Compared to the 17 Year Old, the 19 offers even more intensity - especially in its bold pineapple note, a hallmark of Craigellachie’s tropical fruit profile, now heightened and deepened. The biscuity sweetness is more pronounced, giving this dram a dessert-like richness that lingers long on the palate.

Still made using traditional worm tub condensers, Craigellachie maintains its dense, oily texture and muscular weight in every drop. This expression is a true celebration of what makes Craigellachie the ‘Rock of Speyside’ - unfiltered, unapologetic, and unforgettable.

Tasting Notes

Intense aroma of pineapple chunks in syrup, spicy, rich and complex, fortified with an intriguing sulphury backbone. To the taste, this 19 year old Craigellachie delivers a sweet biscuity base, with a hint of smoke.
