Each year, Aberfeldy explores the world of red wine cask finishes, with each expression offering a new dimension of flavour. This release builds on the success of our 15 Year Old Napa Valley finish from the previous year - adding not only three extra years of maturation but also a longer time in the Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks to deepen its flavour and complexity.

The whisky is first aged in a combination of refill casks to develop Aberfeldy’s signature soft, honeyed style. It is then transferred to ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barriques from Napa Valley, where it absorbs vibrant red fruit notes, silky tannins, and rich oak influence. The result is a well-rounded dram, layered with flavours of blackberry compote, soft baking spices, vanilla, and gentle tannic dryness - all wrapped in our trademark smooth finish.
