Official Tasting Notes from our Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod: Muscular notes enveloping the floral and fruity notes of summer with a puff of cereal to finish.

Royal Brackla Distillery was founded by Captain William Fraser in 1812 from his farm on the Cawdor Estate near inverness. With so many illicit distilleries in the local area, he shipped his whisky to London where it was tasted by King William IV, who bestowed the first Royal Warrant for a whisky in 1833.

The distillery features tall stills and a realtively long fermentaiton to give plenty of fruity character. Today this opulent single malt is finished in different sherry casks to give fascinating spice character and depth of flavour.

Given our Highlands location, we ship within the UK on a 2 day service delivering on weekdays only.Alternatively there is a free collection option from the distillery, we'd love to meet you!

This exciting Royal Brackla 15 Year Old Exceptional Cask is exclusive to the Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery shop. Cask No. 3159 is a single Oloroso Sherry Cask selected by our Malt Master Stephanie J. Macleod to showcase how versatile the whisky from this distillery can be.

Releases from Royal Brackla always have a strong sherry influence, reflecting the richness of 'the king's own whisky'. However this single cask is a beautiful colour and incredibly complex.
