Dewar's 8 year old Ilegal Smooth see's our honeyed and fruity blend being finished in Mezcal casks from the Ilegal distillery in Oaxaca, Mexico. In the pursuit of flavour, our team created the first ever Scotch Whisky to be finished in Mezcal casks. Due to the power of Mezcal as a spirit the finishing period was only one month, and what a month it was, adding an incredible array of flavours from smoke and caramel to green bell peppers
